I had to comment on this one because it's on a topic that literally hits home for me. I particularly enjoyed the kid who wants to work for NS one day. As the daughter of a Norfolk Southern man (and the sister-in-law of a NS train engineer), I might be a tad biased about CSX vs. NS (very funny, though). I myself have never quite understood the fascination with trains, but that might just be b/c of the many horror stories that my dad brought home of railroad related injuries that he's had to report to the federal government...I have a very healthy fear of trains instilled in me much like the fear of God. That being said, I can definitely appreciate the sense of community that these people of such varying ages share. Wonderful job in capturing it all!

I really like the first photo on this post. I feel like it incorporates some of culture -- and of course the train -- in one. And the clouds are doing something crazy.

Awesome video and pictures for the Folkston Railwatch! I attended and am in the video. I think the work you guys do is great and you have shed a good light on train-watchers in general. I assure you that us railfans as a whole thank you for doing a story on Folkston and hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Keep traveling!
